The Chocolate Choice' is a thought-provoking children’s fiction novel for ages 7–11, following Orla as she investigates where chocolate really comes from after entering a writing competition inspired by her favourite blogger. What begins as a simple project soon uncovers surprising truths about cocoa farming and chocolate production, leading Orla to question the choices made by her family, her community and even herself.

Blending diary-style storytelling with blog posts, newspaper snippets and real-world facts, this engaging chocolate-themed novel helps young readers explore ethical trading, sustainability and the power of using their voice. Perfect for both classrooms and home reading, Orla’s journey encourages children to think critically about everyday choices and discover how small actions can make a meaningful difference.
